Welcome to The Bridge Educational Trust
Supporting residents of Dorset with educational grants
The Bridge Educational Trust is able to provide a limited number of single or recurrent grants each year for the education of students of any race, colour or creed drawn primarily from the parishes of Piddletrenthide with Plush, Piddlehinton and Alton Pancras, and secondarily from those born or having their main residence in the County of Dorset.
The Trust was set up in 1990 by the late Mrs Diana Bridge in memory of her husband, John Edward Maurice Bridge, a descendant of the family which founded the Piddle Valley School in the middle of the nineteenth century and which lived at that time at the Manor House in Piddletrenthide, Dorset. Mrs Bridge died in 2005
We would like to record our sincere thanks to the Bridge Trust for all the financial support you have given to D and C over the last couple of years. Without your generosity we would have struggled to support them both through their university studies…..
With your assistance they are now on the verge of graduating and will move on to make an impact on the world…Parents of D and C

In 2010 the Bridge Educational Trust gave me a grant of £1000 to help fund my nursing education at Bournemouth University. That journey is now at an end and I would like to share with the Trust my story from the beginning…….
In November I graduated with first class honours. I am now a qualified mental health nurse working at an acute assessment centre for the elderly.T
